Call for abstracts

Scientific studies
Abstracts (scientific studies or practical issues) related to the topics of the conference can be submitted either for an oral or poster presentation. Conference topics:

Implantology related to:

  • Oncology
  • Medical Compromised
  • Geriatrics
  • Congenital disorders
  • Handicaped
  • Orthodontics

The symposium language is English so therefore all abstracts should be presented in English.

Abstracts

Oral presentations are limited to 10 minutes (8 minutes for presentation and 2-3 minutes for questions). Selection of oral abstract papers will be based on content of abstract, submission date and available time allotments.
All poster papers related to conference topics will be considered, based on submission date, content and available space.

Posters
The program committee considers posters an important contribution to the success of this conference. Posters will remain displayed throughout the meeting in the coffee and lunch break area’s during the whole conference.

Indication for dimensions: 1m x 1.2m (width x height) maximum.
Authors are responsible for the mounting of their poster on the first day of the Conference and removal at the end of the Conference.
Fixation material will be provided.

Eligibility
All presenting authors must be registered as attendees of the Conference when the submitted abstract is accepted. The Scientific Committee of the conference will decide on acceptance. All presenters must register before January 10, 2012.

Speakers are required to disclose any affiliation with and financial interest in a company or a product related to the subject matter of the presentation as a part of the Speaker’s Agreement.

Abstracts can be submitted at paog@umcg.nl until January 2, 2012. Only submission by using the registration format will be accepted. The scientific committee will review all submissions.

Guidelines
A. Content
   1. Consider the relevance of your proposal to a broad audience;
   2. Be as explicit as possible about the content of your Poster;
   3. Include any evaluation or assessment of your work in your submission even if this is on-going.


B. Submission
   1. Tables and graphs: do not include more than two graph or table (with letters and digits that are legible after downsizing to 8cm wide);
   2. References (max 3) should be listed;
   3. Abbreviations should be avoided and if used, explained. No abbreviations may be used in the title;
   4. Instruments and appliances: When listing instruments or appliances, also list the manufacturer, the place of business and the country of origin.

Notification
A notification of selection of the abstract will be send by January 9, 2012. All accepted abstracts will be published in the abstract book. Publication of the abstract requires registration for the meeting by at least one author.

If you did not receive a receipt,we most likely did not receive your abstract.

Due to time allotment restrictions, we may not be able to accept all oral presentation. If we can not accommodate your request for oral presentation we strongly encourage you to present your paper as a
Poster Presentation.

Abstract papers will be published as submitted in our Conference Program Book.
