By air
The city airport, Groningen Airport Eelde, has direct scheduled services from and to Aberdeen.

Train connections link the city with Schiphol International Airport every 30 minutes. Travel time by train is approximately 2,5 hours. |

The main railway station in Groningen is at 20 minutes walking distance from the UMCG. For timetables visit www.ns.nl. Arriving at the Central Station in Groningen, several busses will take you to the city center. Bus 8 and 22 will take you directly tot the University Medical Center Groningen. Both the city center (5 min) and the University Medical Center (10 min) are at walking distance from the Central Station.
